Carpenter Lake is a roughly 20-acre lake located in Orion Township in Oakland County, Michigan. It is nestled eight miles outside of Pontiac, Michigan, and 36 miles north of Detroit.

The Oakland County International Airport is 13 miles southeast. The closest location for urgent care is the Pontiac General Hospital, seven miles south in Pontiac.
